Business roles

During setup, you choose a business role that tells tocc.contact what kind of business you run. This shapes how the AI communicates with your customers.

Small Business — The default for most businesses. The AI sticks to your knowledge base, never guesses, and focuses on answering the specific question asked. Works for any industry.

Professional Services — For law firms, therapists, consultants, accountants, and similar practices. The AI never gives professional advice — it directs customers to book a consultation. Language is warm but measured, and client confidentiality is always respected.

Sales & Marketing — For B2B companies and SaaS teams handling inbound leads. The AI qualifies leads quickly (company size, use case, timeline, budget) and proactively offers demos, case studies, or trial access.

Content Creator — For YouTubers, podcasters, influencers, and media personalities. The AI filters inbound by quality: qualifying sponsorship and partnership pitches (asking about budget, deliverables, and timeline), flagging paid opportunities, and warmly responding to fan messages with a nudge toward your owned channels (newsletter, Discord, Patreon). Hours are optional for creators.

Other — Falls back to the small business approach. Choose this if none of the above fit.

You can change your role anytime from your Settings page. Your role also influences your daily briefing: creators see partnership opportunities and fan highlights, sales teams see pipeline language, and professional services see client intake framing.
